Located between 8 and 24 degrees north, Vietnam is incredibly diverse with mountains and dense hilly forests accounting for approximately 80% of the land and over a thousand kilometres of coastline!
The incredible landscape of Vietnam varies a great deal as you travel, so please bear that in mind when you are planning an itinerary for your tour in Vietnam. South Vietnam is dominated by the Mekong Delta and the very commercial Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Central Vietnam is known for the Central Highlands, hundreds of kilometres of beautiful beaches with Da Nang as it’s major city and the old trading port of Hoi An as the UNESCO protected heritage gem.
North Vietnam is home to the capital, Ha Noi, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay and the quite stunning highland town of Sa Pa, close to the Chinese border nestled seductively in the mountains.
